A total of 54 children have been arraigned in court for various reasons during the first eight months of the year.

The reasons included fighting and injuries, driving without a licence, injuries to public officials, theft, voluntary damage, lost items not surrendered to the police, littering, soliciting, threats with pointed instruments or arms possession, and drug trafficking.

The information was given by Justice Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici in reply to a parliamentary question by Adrian Vassallo (MLP).
