Missing bus shelter

The Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communication (MITC) has booked advertising space in newspapers inviting readers to submit ideas on how to improve the public transport service.

If this initiative is taken seriously and with commitment, commuters would expect the ministry to embark on new projects.

May I remind the MITC about some unfinished business: the installation of a new bus shelter in Joseph M. Genuis Street, Vittoriosa. The Notification of Development Permit No. PA 06183/06 dates to October 9, 2006.

It is about time officials from the Transport Authority or MITC put their cards on the table and explain why the installation of this bus shelter has been postponed for two years.
