Seven Venture Scouts and 11 Cub Scouts were recently invested in the newly-reformed Xagħra Scout Group. Among the group were six girls - a first for Gozo.

From its headquarters the group marched to Xagħra basilica where Mass was celebrated followed by the investiture, held on the church parvis.

After 75 years of scouting in Gozo, this was the first time that females were allowed into the group, not only as leaders, but also as Venture Scouts and Rover Scouts.

The Xagħra scouts now number 65.
