Obituary
BOWMAN. On October 2, at Villa Messina, MURIEL née Bishop, aged 94, widow of Henry, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Ronald, her daughters Edwige, wife of Cecil Jones, Marion, wife of Charles Cilia, her grandchildren and their respective spouses Karen and Paul, Keith and Judith, Elaine and Ralph, Kenneth and Corinne, Kathleen and Jonathan, Stephanie and her fiancè Conrad and Alison, her great grandchildren, her sisters Doris Farrugia and Mary Browne, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today at the Carmelite parish church, Balluta at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
DISS. On September 30, while living in the UK, DAVID, aged 46, suddenly passed away. Deeply mourned by his mother Bianca, his daughter Larissa, his brother Raymond and family, his sisters Madeleine and Isabel, his nephew Christian and family, relatives and friends.Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Lord grant him eternal rest.

Traffic diversions
Traffic from Triq Il-Marina, Pietà, in the direction of Floriana will be diverted through Triq L-Indipendenza, Pietà from 5 p.m. today.
Triq Sa Maison and Xatt It-Tiben will be open to one-way traffic from Floriana towards Pietà also from 5 p.m.
Comedy
The San Ġineżju Theatre Company will be staging a comedy entitled Il-Kunjata Tal-Ministru at Mgr Ġużeppi De Piro Hall at the Oratory San Domenico Savio, Birkirkara on October 11 at 7.30 p.m.

Mental health
The Mental Health Association will be screening A Beautiful Mind to mark World Mental Health Day on October 10 at St James Cavalier, in Valletta at 5.30 p.m.
The film will be followed by a discussion on aspects of mental health.

Essay writing
The US Embassy is giving away two free tickets to watch the Maltese production of High School Musical to the first 200 children who submit a short essay about global challenges.
The embassy will be sponsoring a preview of the musical, being staged at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on December 23.
The essay should be not more than one page long and should discuss the global challenges on the theme of We're All In This Together.
Each essay should include the name, age and contact information of the author and should be submitted to maltahsm@state.gov or to the US Embassy, PO Box 535, Valletta.
All essays must be submitted by December 1 and winners will be notified within seven days of receipt.
The five best essays will also be published on the embassy's website and their authors will meet the cast.
