Austrian woman in danger
A 50-year-old Austrian woman is in danger of dying after facing difficulties while swimming in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s this afternoon, the police said.
The police said that after the woman had been in the water for some time, another person realised she was with her face down. She was taken ashore and given first aid and then taken to Mater Dei Hospital.

And to my knowledgs most of them happened in St. George's Bay, St. Julian's.

This is the second of such incidents that I remember this year, the other lost her life.
I thought that there are life savers stationed at St George's Bay?
Anyone out there knows any better?

Is it my impression or this year we had an increase of turists that found themselves in difficulty while swimming?
Maybe they should be informed about the possible dangers when swimming
