A 50-year-old Austrian woman is in danger of dying after facing difficulties while swimming in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s this afternoon, the police said.

The police said that after the woman had been in the water for some time, another person realised she was with her face down. She was taken ashore and given first aid and then taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
