Brussels airport strike may cause minor delays

Flights in and out of Brussels will experience minor delays today after baggage handlers who fear they will be denied pay for working overtime hours went on strike, Dutch-language broadcaster VRT reported.

Brussels airport and baggage handler Flightcare, whose workers had not announced any plans for industrial action, were not immediately available for comment.

A strike by luggage handlers over pay and working conditions at Brussels airport in August sparked chaos and left thousands of passengers stranded as some 20,000 pieces of luggage piled up at arrivals.
