Baby nutrition products safe
SMA Nutrition yesterday reassured parents that SMA Nutrition's infant and toddler formula products are not involved or affected by the infant formula recall in China.
SMA Nutrition stressed that it does not source milk from China to produce its infant nutrition products.
Furthermore, SMA said all its products undergo rigorous quality assurance assessments throughout the manufacturing process.
These assessments are designed to ensure that products comply with or exceed all applicable food standards.

It's good to hear that baby products are safe but there are other Chinese products besides food that can end your life much faster. Try buying electrical "goods" (!) from the pound/euro shops. A couple of years ago, at Xmas time, I was fool enough to buy a set of four 3-pin plugs for the cost of one Maltese lira. I managed to try one out but luckily lived to tell the tale. After a couple of minutes I smelt plastic burning - the insides of the plug had literally melted as I could see afterwards -- and I immediately switched off the main switch. I wonder who gives out the permission for such dangerous electrical items to be bought by unwary citizens. What has the Malta Standards Authority to say about this?
