Latest .NET technology in software products

Uniblue Systems of Msida has become one of the first software companies to have incorporated some of the latest Microsoft .NET technology into their two newest product releases. Both of Uniblue's newest products, SpeedUpMyPC 2009 and PowerSuite 2009, have been developed using .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, and have incorporated the new Microsoft .NET Framework Client Profile. The .NET Framework Client Profile was launched by Microsoft last August, and is a 25MB download.

Uniblue's adoption of Microsoft's new installer will result in a much-enhanced user experience when downloading the newest versions of both SpeedUpMyPC and PowerSuite. Both products were developed using Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) which enables the creation of rich user interfaces for a superior user experience.

Brennon Williams, author of the book Microsoft Expression Blend, said: "Uniblue are ahead of their competition because of their ability to adapt quickly to change. One of the ways they do this is by taking advantage of next generation software development and design tools and new collaborative workflow methodologies. Uniblue are working with Microsoft's WPF platform to enhance their end-users' experience as well as improve the visual performance of their entire solution. If only all companies were this forward thinking..."

Uniblue will be utilising this Microsoft technology in their future consumer products, and is confident that this development will add value to customers using their software. Download times will become much shorter and the installation process will be seamless - features that are both important and beneficial, especially for home users.
