Parish priests to rein in rowdy behaviour during feasts

The College of Parish Priests yesterday pledged it would be working alongside Church authorities to curb irresponsible and degrading behaviour during the outdoor celebrations of village feasts.

On the occasion of the start of the new pastoral year, the College noted that "there were situations where during feasts there were those who caused trouble". Feasts could not keep being tainted by such behaviour that reflected badly on the Church itself.

The parish priests expressed their appreciation for the work and effort being put into every parish.
