New director takes up the reins at Dar tal-Providenza

Fr Martin Micallef, a 40-year-old priest from Luqa, has taken over as director of Dar tal-Providenza, the home for the disabled near Siggiewi.

He tells Rosanne Zammit (see video above) about his plans for the home and the challenges that it faces.

Fr Martin, a priest for the past 12 years, served at Ibraġ and as parish priest in Għaxaq and Marsascala.

He has been the church’s representative on the National Commission for Persons with a Disability for the past seven years.

His predecessor, Mgr Lawrence Gatt, is now serving as chancellor at the Curia.

Good Bless you Fr Martin and all the staff who hadn't not been for people like you to take care of the handicapped, I shudder to think what would happen to them . KEEP IT UP God knows what he is doing and you will always find help from the outside world.
