Guilty plea

A man was jailed for 16 months after admitting to trafficking in heroin and possessing cannabis and heroin on and before March 17, 2002.

After Magistrate Lawrence Quintano heard Etienne Camilleri of Żejtun plead guilty to the charges he jailed and fined him €1,165.

Magistrate Quintano added that if the fine was not paid within 18 months it would be converted into three months imprisonment.

Police Inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted.

Wow, a heroin trafficker sentenced to 16 months (less 1/3 off the sentence for good behaviour) = less than a year in prison, oops I almost overlooked the tiny fine.

I wonder how many silly kids he got hooked on drugs, before he was caught?

Lets see - 11 months in jail to get straightened out, then back to the same old thing until he is caught again in about 5 more years?

Just six and half years in Court...and justice has arrived...
