Gonzi discusses MEPA reform with employees

@Anthony Formosa. This article has to do with the proposed reform of Mepa, something, which is of the utmost importance to the country, so I fail to see why you have to drag hunting into it. It may come as a surprise to you but the country does not revolve around hunters, and since animals and birds are a part of the environment you can hardly be seen as doing your part for the environment by killing them!

To get back to the main subject I can't understand why Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has taken so long to begin his election promise of reforming Mepa. Nor can I understand why now that the process seems to have begun, it does so behind closed doors at Mepa. Given the fact that it was certain employees at Mepa who were the main cause of bad decisions and allegations of corruption, are they the right people to be asking advice of on the way forward?

On the one hand he talks of transparency and on the other he is holding closed meetings. Surely the people he should be consulting with are the NGO's, not the people who are the cause of the problem.

You plant your trees so you can watch beautiful creatures rest on them whilst you do your massacre! Hunters = Vandals of the environment.....You're being controlled & not punished so that decent people like us can go and enjoy the environment !!!!

Ohhh , Now the pendulum has to swing towards the protection of the environment, so what about before, who is going to pay for the mess of the environment. I as a hunter and many others our pendulum was always towards the environment and instead we are continuously punished by the PM.
