Opposition leader resigns
Opposition leader Charles Mangion has submitted his letter of resignation from the post, clearing the way for Joseph Muscat to succeed him.
Dr Mangion presented his resignation letter to President Eddie Fenech Adami. It takes effect tomorrow, when Dr Muscat will be sworn in after being co-opted to Parliament.
Dr Mangion was appointed opposition leader in June after Alfred Sant resigned.

If JC Himself was appointed leader of the MLP, PN fanatics would turn their venom meter to max. If Lawrence Gonzi switched sides and became leader of the MLP, PN fanatics would turn their character assassination machine on full blast, and so on. There are too many fanatics, on both sides, that refuse to remove thier blindfolds.

@John Tabone
You will need God to help you John, for Joseph will be continuously punching Gonzi's ego, arrogance and incompetence without any hesitation and exposing his government for what it really is.

Whilst I wish Dr. Muscat the best in this extremely important and sensitive appointment, I humbly ask him to polish up his act which so far has been dismal. I have followed his public outings since the initial pathetic "love her because she loves you" and amongst other I humbly suggest that he realises that he is no longer a journalist (which on reading his weekly contribution does not come through) and to do away with pop politics such as vote at 16 and employing workers of defunct public monsters with other emerging public monsters. Good Luck!
