The star behind Mellieħa Nights

The Mellieha local council has always been very active in promoting the talents of our village and its environs.

Our new mayor Robert Cutajar is no exception and started his office in full swing and with his typical tireless fashion in organising events.

Iljieli Mellieħin (Mellieħa Nights) which was held this month is witness to this. However, I feel that I must really mention him publicly for organising this particular event.

He brought out all that is Mellieħa. The local community came forward in force to participate in and enjoy this beautiful weekend. Spirits ran high and camaraderie was at the forefront.

The event ran over three evenings and nobody wanted to miss a minute of it. The good humour and smiling villagers were ample proof of how much they enjoyed this event.

The commercial community also had lots to cheer about as business was thriving throughout that weekend.

I am sure that I am voicing the gratitude of my fellow Mellieħin to congratulate and thank Mr Cutajar.

Our star mayor will no doubt continue enhancing the quality of life in our beautiful village.
