Waterspout off Delimara

Marsaxlokk and Marsascala residents were fascinated yesterday morning by the sight of a waterspout occurring just before 9, a few kilometres southeast of Delimara Point, moving towards Marsascala, before petering out after a couple of minutes.

Waterspouts which are mini-tornadoes over water may be very dangerous to seacraft caught in their vortex.
