The Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational Research (EMCER), which specialises in scholarly research on education systems in the Mediterranean region, has launched its www.um.edu.mt/emcer. The website gives free access to centre's peer-reviewed six-monthly publication, including the Mediterranean Journal of Educational Studies, which now is in its 25th issue.
The centre's main aim is to develop south-south and north-south dialogue in the field of education and through this to enhance the possibility of mutual understanding and co-operation among the people of the Mediterranean in the various spheres of life.
The centre operates as a loose network of associated scholars, engaging academics from across the region in the various research projects in which it is involved.
