Archbishop receives YWCA (Malta)

YWCA (Malta) delegates, together with YWCA president Mary J. Jones paid a courtesy visit to Archbishop Paul Cremona at his residence in Attard.

Ms Jones explained that YMCA's main project is the self-development programme, which focuses on basic adult education and vocational life skills in various fields. The project aims to support under-privileged women and assist them in regaining self-confidence. YWCA PRO Doris Cusens spoke on the furniture transport scheme. This project aims to support families and people in need to live a more comfortable life.

The organisation also offers professional social work services. All courses and services are free of charge. Single mothers, homeless people, victims of domestic violence and, people and families living in poverty benefit from YWCA.

The Archbishop was informed about the opening of YWCA's new premises in October.
