Abakus Solutions to host Greek graduates under Leonardo Da Vinci programme

As of November , Abakus Solutions will host two workers from Greece under the Leonardo Da Vinci Programme funded by the European Commission. The two workers, graduates in IT, have found their placement in Malta through the youth organisation European Village in Thessaloniki.

During their six-month stay within Abakus Solutions, the two workers will learn and share their knowledge with their colleagues. They will cover web development basics, including testing and quality assurance, programming, design and content management systems.

Other areas include database management systems, advanced web applications, web services and development of applications for mobile phones.

Anson David Aquilina, executive director at Abakus Solutions, said: "The Leonardo Da Vinci programme gives the possibility for young graduates, together with our employees, to share knowledge and experiences in a multi-cultural setting." He said this opportunity will contribute to Abakus Solutions' efforts in research and innovation - an important exercise within the company.

The Leonardo Da Vinci Programme is part of the European Commission's Life Long Learning Programme which aims to build a skilled workforce across Europe.
