A 25-year-old man from Birkirkara was remanded in custody yesterday after pleading not guilty to stealing over €58,00 worth of air conditioners.

Magistrate Lawrence Quintano heard Marlon Camilleri deny stealing the air conditioners and related items from a warehouse in Mrieħel belonging to Central Trading Company Ltd on Monday between 4 and 6 p.m. Mr Camillieri also pleaded not guilty to relapsing.

Police Inspector Tony Cachia prosecuted.

Lawyers Joseph Giglio and Stephen Tonna Lowell were defence counsel. Lawyer Kris Busietta appeared in parte civile.
