In a separate case, two 19-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy denied conspiring to commit theft from Palm Court Hotel in St Paul's Bay.
The 16-year-old and Ritmark Borg, 19, of Paola, denied stealing cash from one of the guest rooms along with a cell phone a wrist watch and two portable DVD players, while Josua Gatt, 19, of Tarxien, denied being an accomplice and stealing from a number of guest rooms.
In a third case, a Somali man was jailed for a year after admitting to having caused more than €1,100 in damages and stealing a mobile phone from an office at the open centre at Hal Far.
Police Inspector Priscilla Caruana told the court that the accused had also thrown the office computer out of the window and smashed a photocopier.

"In a third case, a Somali man was jailed for a year after admitting to having caused more than €1,100 in damages and stealing a mobile phone from an office at the open centre at Hal Far."
Will he be made for the damage he has caused, or will it again be lumped by the Maltese taxpayers?
Will he be expelled once he has served his sentence?
That's what interests the majority of Maltese citizens.
