Banif named a Global Challenger

Banif Financial Group has been named for the Standard and Poor's Global Challengers List for the second consecutive year. Banif Financial Group is very proud to be the only national bank from the Iberian Peninsula once again identified as one of the leaders of the future by Standard and Poor's.

This is one of the world's foremost accredited rating agencies and every year it publishes a list of 300 medium-sized companies, quoted in the stock exchange, that show the highest growth potential and that are expected to emerge as challengers to the world's leading companies.

The S&P Global Challengers Class of 2008 is diversified over 33 countries and nine different economic sectors. Europe contributes with 90 of the listed companies, of which only 14 belong to the financial sector. Banif is one of them. The rating criteria are based on share price, sales, earnings and employee growth.

For Banif this is a good sign which verifies that its strategy of providing excellent value to its unique clients is the right one.
