GlobalCapital recently rewarded John Zammit, an employee in the insurance division, for his sterling service and loyalty over a career spanning 40 years.
Mr Zammit joined British American Insurance (BAI) on September 9, 1968 as a life insurance representative, aged 22. Three years later, at the age of 25, Mr Zammit was appointed unit manager of British American in Malta, responsible for all the agents' sales, product development and testing.
"John's utmost loyalty and dedication is truly remarkable. He has definitely set an excellent example for our younger employees. GlobalCapital is proud of his achievements and looks forward to more years of close collaboration with him," said Nicholas Portelli, chief executive officer at GlobalCapital plc.
Mr Zammit was an instrumental figure during the merging of BAI into Globe Organisation in 2003 to ensure a smooth changeover among the sales representatives, boosting team morale and motivation.
As a result of this merger, Mr Zammit's role within GlobalCapital Life Insurance Ltd, developed from sales to a client retention manager, mainly dealing with matters concerning client queries such as fee adjustments, reviewing of financial situations and repayment of premium programmes.
Throughout his career, he received a number of awards from BAI for his astounding performance.
"I strongly believe in loyalty, both to the company and to the client. I have always placed loyalty first and foremost. I also believe in managing change effectively and in adopting a forward-thinking approach," Mr Zammit said.
