Cachia for player of the year

Tony Pisani and Richard Saliba write:

We would like to congratulate the Sliema waterpolo team for securing the 12th double by winning this year's league and KO competitions.

The team's performance was truly outstanding, losing only one game in the league and this occurring only after having secured the title.

Our congratulations go out to the committee and the technical staff in masterminding this achievement.

Now, among the contenders for the player of the year award, we feel that Josie Cachia ranks high in this order. His performances throughout the season have been outstanding and his sportsmanship has been exemplary as ever.

Cachia is a role model that every waterpolo player should emulate. We sincerely hope that he is recognised for his achievements this season and look forward to see him guard the Sliema goal for many years to come.
