To mark the 90th anniversary of Sacro Cuor parish in Sliema, a Marian pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady will leave the parish church on September 27 at 7.30 p.m.
On Thursday, Fr Joe Caruana, OFM (above), will be installed as the new parish priest of Sacro Cuor. At 6 p.m. the Sliema Band will welcome Fr Caruana at the Franciscan convent from where he will be accompanied to the church. Archbishop Paul Cremona will lead the celebration.
After the ceremony Archbishop Cremona and other dignitaries will visit the Sliema Band Club where gifts will be presented to the new parish priest and to Archbishop Cremona.
