Life peerage to Sir Igor Judge
The Queen has been graciously pleased to signify her intention of conferring a Life Peerage of the United Kingdom upon Sir Igor Judge on his appointment as Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales (www.gazettes-online.co.uk/ViewPDF.aspx?pdf=58821&geotype=London&type=Issue).
Lord Judge is the first Maltese national to be created a British Baron since Lord Strickland (Count della Catena).
Lord Judge is half Maltese from his mother's side, Rosa Micallef, who married Raymond Judge. I am interested in his mother's family if anyone can help. My research page is at www.maltagenealogy.com. Search for "Judge" in the Google search on the page and it is the first link in the list.

What's in a name? The Maltese/Arabic/Siculo surname Micallef translates into English as Judge. Therefore, The Lord Chief Justice's of England's full name is Igor JUDGE JUDGE. Her comes the Judge!!!
