This is another issue whereby giving up is not an option. Here is our list of traders who were involved in cases wherein the consumer referred his/her case to the Consumer Claims Tribunal (CCT), a decision was made by the arbiter in favour of the consumers, and the traders concerned did not honour the decisions.

Trader - Anthony Galea, Windsor Co. Ltd
Consumer's claim - €116.47 (Lm50) plus expenses re: Defective orthopaedic mattress
Decision - Trader is ordered to pay claimant €116.47 (Lm50) plus expenses

CCT No - CCT 39/07
Trader - Aaron Galea, Quality Turnkey Contractors, Quality Group Malta
Consumer's claim - €2,329.37 (Lm1,000) for work not carried out
Decision - Trader is ordered to pay claimant €2,096.44 (Lm900) plus expenses

If you have referred a case to the CCT and the arbiter's decision was in your favour, and the respective trader refuses to honour the decision, send me a copy of the CCT decision and I will add your case to the list and publish it. Consumers have the right to know about traders who do not honour the CCT arbiter's decisions. They do not deserve our custom.
