Muscat proposes lower MLP membership age
Labour leader Joseph Muscat said yesterday he will be proposing to lower the age requirement for membership of the Labour Party from 18 to 16.
Dr Muscat was speaking during a seminar entitled European And Progressive, Confidence In Youths: 16 To Vote In Local Elections organised by the MLP. Dr Muscat said the time had come for the MLP not only to tolerate youths but to be shaped by the enthusiasm shown by youths. He said his proposal to give 16-year-olds the right to vote in local elections was aimed at giving youths more of a say in society.

We used to have the Forum Zghazagh Laburisti and MZPN to feed new "recruits" to higher levels within the party?!? R we dismantling these youth movements? or it is a move to do some "recruitment marketing" within the youth circles to improve the image where MLP failed, big time, consecutively, election after election !?!?!?
