Britain's Joe Calzaghe said his re-arranged Nov. 8 bout with Roy Jones Jr at Madison Square Garden would "most probably" be his last.
The fight, for The Ring magazine's light-heavyweight crown, is expected to bring down the curtain on the careers of both boxers, who held a news conference in a Times Square restaurant and showed they have the utmost respect for each other.
"People say, 'Why don't you say anything bad about each other?' We've got nothing bad to say about each other," said Jones.
Calzaghe, who had to postpone the fight from its original Sept. 20 date after injuring his hand in late July hitting a heavy punch bag in training, echoed Jones's sentiments.
"I've followed his career. I've always been a fan," said Calzaghe, who lives in Newbridge, Wales. "At the end of the day, we've both got respect for each other."
