Port worker wins €68,308 compensation
A court has awarded port worker Louis Spiteri €68,308 as compensation for injuries he suffered in an incident on board the MV Tama at the Freeport in August 2004.
Mr Spiteri had sued Malta Freeport Terminals Ltd after he was hurt when he fell through part of the deck which was corroded. He suffered back injuries leading to "a permanent disability of 10%".
