Australia: Australia's national team will play at least one home international in Queensland for each of the next five years. Brisbane's Lang Park will host four of the five matches, which will include three World Cup qualifiers, a 2011 Asian Cup qualifier and an international friendly match. The first match of the planned five will be the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Qatar on Oct. 15.
England: England will play friendlies against Slovakia and Slovenia next year at Wembley Stadium, the FA said. Fabio Capello's squad will face Slovakia on March 28 as preparation for the home World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on April 1. Slovenia visit Wembley on Sept. 5, four days before England's qualifying clash with Croatia.
Fagan: Hull City striker Craig Fagan faces a lengthy lay-off after breaking his right leg in Saturday's 2-1 Premier League victory at Newcastle United. Fagan was injured in stoppage time by a tackle from Danny Guthrie which resulted in the Newcastle player being shown a red card.
Carrick: Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has broken a bone in his right foot and could be out for six weeks. Carrick was injured in a tackle in the 2-1 league defeat at Liverpool on Saturday.
Coleman: Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has been fined £5,000 by the Football Association and warned about his future conduct. Coleman admitted a charge of improper conduct relating to his touchline behaviour during the Sky Blues' 3-0 home defeat to Bristol City on August 23.
Pirlo: Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo has suffered a thigh injury in training and will undergo tests. Italian media said he would probably be out for about a month, meaning he will miss tomorrow's UEFA Cup game with FC Zurich and the Milan derby against Inter on Sept. 28.
Tevez: Argentina's Carlos Tevez is ready to commit his future to Manchester United, the striker said. "From the first moment I came here I would have loved to have signed a long-term contract.
