BORG. On September 15, PHILIP, widower of Elvira, née Castillo, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Charles and his wife Rita, Mary, Josephine and her husband Anthony Ellul, Anna and her husband Raymond Spiteri, Valerie and her husband Mario Camilleri and Antoinette and her husband Tano Zammit, his 16 grandchildren, his brother Samuel, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 9 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Special thanks go to the doctors and staff of Ward M1, Mater Dei Hospital, for their dedication and support. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CORDINA. On September 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH MARY, former Chief Petty Officer, Royal Navy, of St Julians, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children George and his wife Lilian, Joan and her husband Tony Tabone, Manwel and his wife Mary, Louise and her husband Vincent Gatt, Raymond and his wife Maryanne, Carlos and Juliet, his grandchildren Pamela, Damien and his wife Hyacinth, Sara, Keith, Naomi and Luke, his great-grandchildren Kyra and Russell, his sister, his brothers and sisters-in-law and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Julians parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
