Accused of resisting two policemen

A man was yesterday granted bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000 after pleading not guilty to holding a policeman against his will and violently resisting another two officers.

Fabio Psaila from Valletta denied assaulting, violently resisting Police Constables Jeffrey Abela and Stephen Grech, slightly injuring PC Abela and damaging their uniforms. He also pleaded not guilty to driving dangerously.

Police Inspector Mario Haber prosecuted. Lawyer David Gatt was defence counsel.

When we get headlines splashed with news that police officers "threw" a guy 10 storeys down, or a police sergeant kneeing an old lady, the blogs of timesofmalta.com is littered by all sorts of comments by some wise persons (who happen to know everything)- venting anger towards the Police Force, but when there's an incident of police officers being met with violence, we get an article that's 6 lines long, and nobody comments in favour of the officers who were treated improperly during their line of duty. How truly Pathetic!!!
