Malta Cycling Federation president John Zammit will be attending the UCI congress to be held in Varese on Friday, September 26. The governing body meeting will be held concurrently with the world road championships. Zammit will take the opportunity to meet British rider Nicole Cook, a gold medallist in Beijing 2008 and winner of the 2000 Tour of Malta, and invite her to attend the 2009 edition. In Italy, Zammit will be accompanied by the MCF secretary general Cliff Micallef.

best of luck john. It would be a major scoop to have Nicole Cook come to Malta. Whoever saw her race during the Olympics can only wonder at what progress she has made over the past 8 years
