The cruise liner The World has made a second visit to Gozo, stopping off Mgarr for a day.

The liner first stopped in Grand Harbour before anchoring off Mgarr. A large number of passengers used the ship’s launches to enjoy some time in Gozo.

The World, carrying 165 passengers and 255 crew, was also in Malta in November last year.

The Gozo Ministry said the number of cruise liners stopping off Gozo is expected to increase once a buoy for such ships is laid off Xlendi. Permits were issued recently by MEPA. The buoy is expected to be in place early next year.
