Charged with injuring fellow immigrant
Duale Ali Farah, a 21-year-old Somali resident at the Ħal Far hangar site for illegal immigrants, was arraigned yesterday and charged with causing serious injuries to another resident at the open centre in the early hours of Saturday.
The accused pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody.

While the government is sleeping over illegal immigration increasing to bursting point and some Maltese do-gooders clap their hands every time a boatful of immigrants comes in, the Church has given an example to everyone by sounding the alarm bell and calling on everyone who is supposed to be responsible to wake up from the sweet dream and face reality and the seriousness of the situation. Does it have to be the Church to shake the government to action? We did not vote for the Church to govern but for the government. So Gonzi please wake up, pull your socks up and DO SOMETHING!!
