Marsascala Day
Marsascala mayor Mario Calleja (right) presented €1,760 to Fr Govann Cefai Camilleri, a missionary in Peru to mark Marsascala Day. The money was raised during a concert and will go towards building a clinic in Peru. The mayor also presented a Marsascala banner to Fr Cefai Camilleri to be placed at the entrance of the clinic to represent unity between Malta and Peru. Later, Marsascala parish priest Fr Martin Micallef (centre) and Fr Joe Abela were presented the Gieħ Marsascala award. Councillor John Baptist Camilleri is on the left.
