'I wish to write about a fraudulent practice that seems to be flourishing. A week ago, I received a booklet by post entitled Marija Omm il-Maltin, together with a €50 bill. I never agreed to advertise in these pages. I met two other people who told me that although they hadn't booked any advertising, the printers still featured adverts.

'Whoever is responsible must have picked up adverts from other publications to compile this booklet - outright garbage! I am enclosing a copy of it for your perusal.'

I contacted some of the companies featured in the booklet. There were a few who knew about the adverts and there were others who weren't aware that they were listed with other traders. I appeal to these people to write to us to try to establish who is behind this. We must work together on this issue.
