Property expo at MCC

The first-ever Malta Property Expo at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta' Qali between February 27 and March 1 will include no fewer than 100 exhibitors, including estate agents and developers, banks and government entities, interior designers, and other industry players.

"Property exhibitions are hugely popular in many countries as they bring together a vast selection of properties and ancillary products and services all under one roof," Ryan Mallia, sales director of organising company Duplex REB explained during a party to launch the event.

"Most of our clients and contacts were looking for new platforms to become closer to their market and feature their products in more detail. We were hearing this so often, that we decided to put the event together next year."

As Malta's real estate industry is becoming more ambitious, participation from exhibitors is expected to be high. Just from pre-launch meetings, the organisers have over ten per cent of the exhibition space already booked. Part of the convention centre floor plan is dedicated to theatres where seminars and property auctions will be held. These are expected to encourage visitors to linger for longer to obtain useful information and possibly find a deal.

Several information sessions will help visitors better understand today's buying realities, dispel any misconceptions and help facilitate the decision-making process. Additionally, a large space has been assigned for relaxation, where people can meet and talk over a light snack or a drink.

The organisers are planning numerous other initiatives, including a portal to complement the Malta Property Expo and a dedicated campaign to promote the event in Malta and overseas.

Set up in 2004, Duplex Real Estate Branding offers a unique array of professional services to developers, owners and estate agents in Malta as well as overseas.
