Drugs found in passenger's shoes
A 29-year-old man from Gambia (and not Senegal as originally reported) was arraigned today after cocaine was allegedly found in shoes he was wearing and other pairs he carried in his luggage at the airport.
The man, Touray Sana was arrested after a search by policemen and Customs officers at the airport shortly after the man flew in from Girona, Spain, yesterday.
The police said the operation was the result of increased cooperation between the Corps and Customs.
The searches on the man yielded 460 grams of cocaine.
Magistrate Miriam Hayman is holding an inquiry.
The man pleaded not guilty.

Good, our border control system is working perfectly when it comes to drug smuggling prevention. Nice job by all those involved. This guy would have been about 40k Euros richer had he made it through.
