A man from Paola was remanded in custody yesterday after he pleaded not guilty to stealing €1,100 in cash and €3,500 in gold items from a residence in Fgura.

Magistrate Miriam Hayman heard Spiridione Tanti Costa deny stealing the items on Wednesday afternoon to the detriment of Christopher Attard and Roberta Micallef. He also denied relapsing.

Police Inspector Alexander Grech prosecuted.
