Probation order
A 21-year-old man was put on probation for three years after he admitted to stealing a Spanish tourist's wallet and mobile phone on Sunday.
Matthew Zammit, of Pembroke, pleaded guilty to committing the theft from Sprache Cafe in Pembroke at about 9 p.m. Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera heard how Mr Zammit had paid back the victim.
Police Inspector Bernard Spiteri prosecuted.
Lawyer Roberto Montalto represented Mr Zammit.

How is it that this 21 year old, was given probation. When only last week two "mature" Italians, were let off Scot free, for the same crime ?.
