McLaren appeal Hamilton's penalty
The McLaren Formula One team confirmed today that it had lodged an appeal against a stewards' decision to strip world championship leader Lewis Hamilton of victory in Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.
"We hereby confirm that we have now lodged notice of appeal," said the team's chief executive Martin Whitmarsh in a statement.
Hamilton was given a retrospective 25-second penalty after the race at Spa, demoting him to third and slashing his championship lead to two points over Ferrari's race winner Felipe Massa.

Dear Mr Grixti d'amato, i think you had to say... that all formula1 cars have to stop or slow down when a red Car called Ferrari is coming from BEHIND!!!! Admit that this time Mclaren is better!! and Ferrari cant take it down!!

Dear S Xuereb ...Off course Hamilton doesnt deserve that!! I am very mad!! I think you mis interpreted my comment. I go every year to watch the Formula1 and support Mclaren even in bad situations.
This time Mclaren have Right to appeal and I hope they give them back which is by right of Mclaren( Hamilton)

A Spiteri - Was Hamilton actually deserving a 25sec penalty? He slipped off the chicane, let Raikonen overtake him before then overtaking him again. Hamilton was way faster than the ferrari's! But besides this episode, shame on the FIA that such a fantastic race should be remembered for the wrong reasons!!
