Dinner in aid of Sanctuary for Divine Mercy

A buffet dinner was recently held at Villa Arrigo in aid of the Sanctuary for Divine Mercy in Naxxar.

The dining area was decorated with paintings donated by artists Harry Alden, Luciano Micallef, John Martin Borg, Austin Camilleri, Anna Galea and Claire Albanozzo.

The event saw performances by tenor Joseph Calleja and his soprano wife Tatiana Lisnic who performed Brindisi from Verdi's La Traviata in honour of sanctuary rector Rev. Michael Agius, who turned 60 on the day.

This was followed by a performance from baritone Joseph Zammit. Meanwhile, Claudette Pace entertained guests with her Eurovision entry Desire and jazz numbers.

Among distinguished guests were President Emeritus Guido de Marco and Mrs de Marco and Naxxar mayor Maria Deguara.
