Who cares about decibels here in Malta? I have just been reading about the Senglea clock that has so annoyed a resident. The St Julian's feast proves there is no noise control. It is such a noisy feast, and every year it gets worse. We are lucky we have the sea to muffle some of it. The fireworks display on August 30 was let off from a huge barge in the middle of the bay but every time we thought it was over, the cassa finale started again and till well past 11 p.m.

St Gregory's feast is due next week so we also had music in Independence Gardens. We all felt like we needed earplugs to be able to converse.
