GFA to upgrade sport facilities

The Gozo Football Association has various projects in the pipeline to upgrade sporting facilities in Gozo to attract teams from Nordic countries and central Europe, particularly in winter. The association will be applying for funds from the EU.

GFA president Alvin Grech described the initiative to parliamentary secretary Chris Said during a recent meeting.

Dr Said, former president of the association, said that with the re-establishment of the Malta-EU Steering Action Committee (MEUSAC), skilled people will be assisting organisations like the GFA for co-financing requests.
