Two Domestica Ltd sales executives, Saviour Schembri and Omar Suleiman, have returned from specialised training at Berloni in Italy. The executives joined a group training session with participants from Ireland, Spain, Cyprus and Russia.

The training was held at Villa Berloni, a five-star hotel owned by the Berloni family in Pesaro, which is used exclusively to host agents and family guests, apart from high-profile product launches.

Sessions were conducted on the latest software Berloni has designed to enable its sales teams to enable clients to visualise their home furniture - whether a kitchen, bedroom or lounge - in a life-like environment.

"Thanks to this software, clients get a virtual walk-through the room they intend to place the chosen furniture to see exactly how it will look in place," Mr Suleiman said on his return.

Francesca Cassar, director of Domestica Ltd, responsible for the Berloni showroom in Valley Road, Birkirkara, added: "This is a service we offer that is completely free.

"Not only do you see the furniture model in 3D, but you can also change the colour scheme at a click of the mouse."

Apart from attending training sessions, the group had the opportunity to visit Casa Berloni, the state-of-the-art showroom with all the latest Berloni models, to visit the factories where Berloni kitchens and bedrooms are built, and to go to Berloni's offices to visit the order takers who process sales from Malta.

"We were made to feel very welcome in this excellent environment," Mr Suleiman said. "Berloni's staff treated us well because the Berloni family have a close personal relationship with the Vassallo Cesareos in Malta, who own Domestica."

Villa Berloni was lovingly restored by the Berloni family with the same effort that is put in to the manufacture of its furniture lines.

All machinery and products are made in-house to give the Italian market leaders total control of their entire product range.
