In the US, the release of the July consumer credit data kickstarts the data schedule for the week. On the inflation front, headline and core Producer Price Index (PPI) are expected to decline following the recent fall in energy prices. Meanwhile, a snapshot on consumer dynamics will be provided by the release of the retail sales figure for August, along with the preliminary Michigan Consumer sentiment survey.

A view on the labour market will be provided by the release of the initial jobless claims and continuing claims figures. Trade balance, wholesale inventories, and home sales data for July are also due this week. Import and export prices numbers and the treasury budget balance will close this week's data release, for the US.

In the Eurozone, the main focus this week will be on inflation, employment and industrial production data. The release of French and Spain Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices figures for August should reflect a decline in view of the recent fall in oil prices. In terms of the labour market, market participants will have the Eurozone payroll employment figures for the second quarter. A view on the manufacturing sector will be provided by the industrial production figure for the wide euro area. German and French trade balance figures for July, French exports and imports figures and Italy's final second quarter Gross Domestic Product will fill up the rest of the week.

In the UK, markets will closely monitor the release of the input and output Producer Price Index (PPI) for August. On the activity front, market participants will have the release of the manufacturing and industrial production figures both for July. The data schedule will conclude with the release of the BRC August retail sales survey along with the July trade report and the RICS housing market survey.
