The FHRD is also holding a talk on 'CSR - a charity's perspective' on September 16 between 5.30 and 7 p.m. at its premises in San Ġwann.

Sceptics suggest that corporate social responsibility is predominantly driven by policy and governance issues, rather than being the result of a deep understanding of the third sector and community issues.

Nathan Farrugia, CEO of Ir-Razzett tal-Ħbiberija, will be the speaker. Mr Farrugia is an MBA graduate with a background in the health industry. As a consultant, he has worked with a number of local and foreign organisations to support their causes.

He is keen to improve the long-term sustainability of local charities by improving the skills and capabilities of their management teams, and through stronger links with the corporate sector.
