Mirror of the personality

Confluent

Fabio Borg is holding his fourth solo exhibition at Gallery Last Touch in Mosta. The exhibition, which has been titled Evolving Moments, showcases 20 of the artists' latest works on canvas.

The paintings which Mr Borg is presenting are characterised by a new and evolved style. He says that his work is a mirror of his internal personality. Painting purely by instinct, he uses colour and texture to convey a variety of emotions which are translated into a language of his very own.

Mr Borg started studying drawing and painting at the School of Art in Valletta. He also studied graphic design, and today he works as a designer with a leading advertising agency in Malta.

Spending a few years in Italy, where he studied theology, philosophy and psychology, Mr Borg encountered a number of artists who helped him develop his artistic concepts. His academic studies have been of great personal influence and have consequently become manifest in his paintings.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works extensively in Malta and Gozo. His solo exhibitions include Snapshots, (April 1999 at The Mill, Birkirkara), Emotions & Passion (September - October 2004 at the National Museum of Fine Arts, Valletta) and Extracts (September 2005 at The Banca Giuratale, Victoria). He has also participated in various collective exhibitions.

The exhibition was inaugurated yesterday by Minister of Finance Tonio Fenech and is open to the public from today and will run until September 30. The Gallery is open every day between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., except Wednesdays and Saturdays when it is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The exhibition has been made possible through the sponsorship of Valletta Fund Management, Marsovin, Print it and Gasan Mamo Insurance.
