Immigrants land at Mġarr, Gozo
A boatload of 30 migrants was handed over to immigration police at Haywharf in Pietàyesterday after being spotted off Gozo.
The boat was sighted by the police in Xlendi but when the migrants saw the police they immediately tried to sail away from the bay.
The 28 males and two females, all wearing life jackets, were escorted into Mġarr Harbour by a patrol boat and were met by the Red Cross Gozo branch.

Is it true these immigrants wanted to leave Gozo as soon as they became aware they hadn't landed in Italy? Is it true the AFM intercepted them and did not let them leave?
